Black Hills Energy, formerly Aquila, has teamed up with CBIZ Accounting, Tax & Advisory of Kansas City, Inc. to provide consulting services to economic development organizations located in Black Hills Energy's Kansas service area who are preparing an incentive package for a client.

CBIZ’s expertise will allow you to offer unique, time saving technical assistance to your clients in the areas of completing state-level grant and tax credit program applications.  In addition, CBIZ can assist your organization by providing valuable comparative tax research as you analyze rival sites during the prospect competition.

Some of the applications CBIZ can assist you with include:

Kansas
  • Prepare Business and Job development Tax Credit (K34) for one tax year, including the sales tax exemption request.
  • Prepare High Performance Incentive Capital Investment form, including the sales tax exemption request.
  • Write Kansas Industrial Training or Kansas Industrial Retraining grants.

Note: All projects include a meeting with the client via phone or face to face meeting to collect all necessary information regarding the project such as: Capital Investment, Job Creation, Wages, Company Structure and Historic Tax Liability
